Choosing between the Orion XS models
The 50A is fanless and IP65 rated, which suits exposed or under-bonnet mounting. This 70A uses cooling fans to reach its higher output and is rated IP20, so it needs a dry, protected mounting location such as inside a canopy, van or caravan.
Best suited to
Caravans, canopies, vans and 4WDs running larger lithium banks where you want the most charge into the battery per hour of driving. Pair it with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT to charge from solar and the alternator together.
