Enerdrive Explorer Canopy System

40A DC-DC, Simarine monitor, 100Ah lithium, alternator loom included

The entry canopy system, and the one that suits most single-fridge tourers. Charges off the alternator and the solar panels through the one 40A unit, runs the fridge, lights and sockets off pre-wired breakers, and tells you exactly where the bank is sitting on a Simarine touchscreen. No 240V side - if you want to charge off mains or run an appliance, step up to the Traveller.

The Explorer with a mains charger bolted in and more than double the bank. Plug into power at a caravan park or at home and the 40A AC charger fills 210Ah overnight, so you leave every trip on a full battery instead of waiting on the alternator. Still no inverter - this is DC power done properly, not 240V appliances.

The full canopy build. A 2000W transfer inverter with its own RCD safety switch and a protected 240V outlet, so the coffee machine, the tools and the induction top all run off the battery. A 1m 70mm² battery cable kit to carry it, eight circuit breakers, a 40A mains charger, and 300Ah of slimline lithium underneath. This is the one people buy once and stop upgrading.

Supplied is delivered to your door anywhere in Australia. Fitted is the same kit installed at Garbutt, wired into the vehicle and tested before you drive out. The three Enerdrive canopy systems are quoted for fitting once we have seen the vehicle, because the alternator run drives the hours.

AGM or lithium?

AGM is the value option and suits a weekend fridge well, but it only likes being taken to about half charge - so a 120Ah AGM gives you 60Ah to use. Lithium buys less capacity on paper for the same money but nearly twice the usable amp-hours, and a lot less weight. Every Enerdrive canopy system here runs slimline lithium. Ask us which way to go for how you actually camp.

Dual Battery Kits

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a charging kit and a complete kit?

A charging kit is the system only — the DC-DC charger, solar controller and inverter or monitor where applicable. A complete kit adds a matched ATG lithium battery. Choose your battery size at checkout.

How much lithium battery do I need for a dual battery kit?

A fridge and lights for a weekend suits 100 to 120Ah. Longer trips or running an inverter suit 150 to 210Ah. Full-time off-grid living calls for 300Ah or more.

Can I charge the kit from both solar and my alternator?

Yes. Every kit charges from your vehicle alternator via DC-DC and from solar via a built-in MPPT regulator. Some kits also add 240V mains charging.

Do you fit dual battery kits in Townsville?

Which dual battery brand should I choose?
