Victron Battery Monitor BMV-700

A precision battery "fuel gauge" that tells you exactly what's happening in your battery bank - not just voltage, but actual amp-hours consumed, state of charge, and time remaining at the current discharge rate.

Why voltage alone doesn't tell the story

A battery's remaining capacity depends on amp-hours consumed, discharge current, temperature and age - not just the voltage reading at any given moment, which can be misleading under load. The BMV-700 continuously integrates current flowing in and out of the battery through its shunt to calculate a genuinely accurate state of charge, working especially well with lithium-ion batteries due to their charging efficiency.

What it displays

Battery voltage, current, power, amp-hours consumed, state of charge, and time-to-go at the current discharge rate - everything you need to know whether your battery bank will see you through the night, or whether it's time to start the generator.

Comes ready to install

The kit includes the 500A/50mV shunt, a 10m RJ12 cable connecting shunt to head unit, and a fused 2m battery cable - no other components needed for a standard install. A separate front bezel is included for square or round display mounting options.

Best suited to

Anyone running a house or auxiliary battery bank who wants to actually know its state of charge - caravans, boats, off-grid systems, and 4WD canopy setups with a dedicated lithium or AGM bank.

Note: the BMV-700 doesn't have built-in Bluetooth - add a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle or VE.Direct to USB interface for app-based monitoring and configuration.
