A battery manager, not just a charger
Unlike a standard DC-DC charger, the BCDC Alpha50 R adjusts its charge mode in real time to match your battery's actual needs, maximising efficiency and extending battery lifespan. It charges up to 50A from the alternator and solar simultaneously, with Green Power Priority® drawing from solar first to ease the load on your vehicle.
Start battery recovery in 15 minutes
If your start battery goes flat, the Alpha50 R can recover it in as little as 15 minutes at the touch of a button - no jumper leads required. Start Battery Charging also uses excess solar to keep the start battery topped up automatically once the auxiliary battery is full.
Configurable input current limiting
The Scout50 lets you set configurable input current limits to align with your vehicle's electrical system - a genuinely useful feature for hybrid and EV owners who need tighter control over alternator draw.
Advanced monitoring, same compact footprint
The integrated Smart Battery Monitor delivers state of charge, run time remaining, and charger performance straight to your phone, all from the same A4-sized panel that fits behind drawers, under seats, or in tight canopy spaces.
