With lots of experience with caravans and camper trailers, It was truly exciting to get our hands on this Hybrid Jayco Pod.

This customer came instore after recently having a Auxiliary battery system fitted elsewhere in his new Isuzu Tow Vehicle. He had a couple small issues that we were more then happy to help him with.

Following the experience he had with us, He let us know he was in the market to buy a small caravan and would come and see us if and when he went ahead.

Speaking with us before he had brought the van, he opted to have alot of the factory wiring and components left out of the build and had us install a suitable system to enable them to run the entire van without the need to fire up the generator.

Check out some photos from this build!

We made up a custom solar bracket to house 2x 150w solar panels below the factory fitted roof racks.

In this pod, we fitted 270ah of lithium batteries, This was on the smaller side for a true offgrid caravan, But we later found due to the compact size of the pod, this system worked brilliantly to power the Airconditioning off the batteries, We found it was only drawing an average of 55amps giving nearly 6 hours of run time on the A/C, Please note that this was never the intention of the system, We built and wired this system so the customer could comfortably run his coffee machine, Induction cooker and Air-Fryer (Not at the same time) while running the fridges and whatever other 12v accessories that may be required.
