Why this size works so well for 12V systems
At 185W STC with 9.41A maximum power current, this 36-cell monocrystalline panel is sized to charge a 12V battery bank efficiently through a PWM or MPPT controller without the excess open-circuit voltage that wastes potential on smaller systems. Victron's -0.45%/°C temperature coefficient on power output means it holds up better in Townsville heat than many panels that quote impressive STC numbers but fade once the roof gets hot.
